    Advertising Opportunity

    Promote your business to RPCN members and visitors!

    At each RPCN meeting, we are passing out Meeting Information Sheets to all meeting attendees. The Meeting Information Sheets will have a list of upcoming meetings for the quarter as well as a ‘Save the Date’ listing for events such as the Boot Camp, Wall of Fame Awards Dinner, canal cruise, and Holiday Party.

    The cool thing about these Meeting Information Sheets is that you can advertise your business’ products or services to people attending the RPCN meetings. These Meeting Information Sheets will be distributed to each attendee every month with the average monthly number of attendees at 200.
     
    Members can get an ad for $25 per quarter and non-RPCN members will be allowed to advertise on the Meeting Information Sheets for a low fee of $50 per ad. The ad will be printed on each sheet for an entire quarter.

    To advertise, please follow this two-step process:
    1. First, please send a .jpg of your ad or a scan of your business card (and we’ll design a small ad for you) to laurie@bluedogmktg.com.  Ads are a little smaller than a business card.
    2. Then, click on the "Register" button on the left side of this page. Choose the type of ad you are purchasing and proceed through the payment process.

    An informal, facilitated round-table discussion of any technical issues that consultants encounter in running their business, including computers, the Internet, and telephones.

    Steve Royal will be facilitating this forum.

    Open to the public and FREE.

    Here is a Map to the Irondequoit Public  Library. The meeting will be held in Room 115 (the Irondequoit Bay Room).

    Instructions & Information:

    • The entrance to the library is at the rear of the building.
    • To the right of the main door is another entrance with white doors. The words "Meeting Rooms" are above the doors.
    • A library employee will open the Meeting Room doors at 8:00 a.m. -- no earlier. The main doors will be locked.
    • We will have to set up the room ourselves, so volunteers will be welcomed.
    • There is a snack room across the hall from our meeting room with coffee and snack machines.
    • Because the forum will start late, it will most likely end later than 9:30 a.m.
    • We have the room until 11:00 a.m.

    The Millennial Connection

    Millennials will soon outnumber all other sub-generations combined and in 5 years will control 75% of the spending power in America… and the folks in control are not training people to work with Millennials. What drives Millennials? What's important? How do they think, buy and communicate?

    Writing and Living Your Personal Mission

    Presenter: Nancy Steinkamp

    When your personal mission is clear and drives the work you do, the result is a fulfilling vocation. That is why many experts including Stephen R. Covey, author of “The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People,” have recommended writing a personal mission statement since it provides a sense of direction, a portrait of “who you are” and identifies your life purpose. However, it is not uncommon to either skip this step or jump ahead too quickly when developing a business or vocational plan. In our quest to find the “right” words, we often seal them in cement without an active process to actually live them.

    This interactive workshop will examine the relationship between personal and business mission statements using a variety of writing techniques. Whether you are writing your own personal or business mission statement or working with clients to develop theirs you will leave inspired and with resources to engage in a process that adjusts to change.

    Play and Change ~ Using Play as a Tool for Change

    Presenter: Mary Clark

    Learn how play can help you thrive when change occurs in your personal or professional life in this interactive workshop. Participants will consider a change they would like to make, look back on some playful moments they’ve had as adults or children and develop their own recipe for play. I will also share a few of the lessons I’ve learned as a play practitioner and facilitator.

    Why Play? Play is a basic human need, something adults sometimes put on the back burner. It can help us make changes with more ease. It affords us the opportunity to feel safe, engage creatively and focus our attention in healthy ways - sometimes even when we are in uncomfortable situations. Play, as a tool for change, broadens perspective and gives rise to new opportunities, and connections.

    The purpose of this workshop is to give participants an opportunity to reflect on and consider using play literally as a tool to embrace and/or effect change in their lives. Play is a tool that doesn’t have to be downloaded or recharged - it’s ready in your back pocket whenever you choose to use it.

    Workshop participants will have an opportunity to leave with the following take-a-ways:

    Three key learnings the audience will take away from this program:

    1. Play can be used, as a tool, to support personal or professional life changes.
    2. A personal recipe for play that can be developed and used when change knocks at their door.
    3. An understanding of what a play practice is, how to develop one, and a key question, “How can I play with this?

    Mary Clark is a writer, story and play facilitator, and an oral storyteller working in the field of personal leadership, creativity and change. In 1999 she was unexpectedly offered an invitation to play and tell stories by an imaginary 150-pound beagle - little did she know that both play and story would be an integral part of the equation of her future work. She accepted these invitations and began working primarily as a teaching artist. Mary is now taking her work to new audiences - educators and life long learners, organizations, and writers and creatives - one story, one conversation, one playful moment at a time.
