In this session,  We will examine the value that people bring to an organization and discuss best practices for increasing that value through training, onboarding, and outsourcing.

Organizations that want to grow (or even maintain) capabilities should follow a systematic process to manage the value of their human component. We will discuss how the following process can be used effectively whether the needed capability will be provided by someone who is a member of your organization or exists somewhere else in your value chain.

  • Identify the need - what skills or expertise will enable successful outcomes
  • Determine the best way to acquire the capabilities - train existing employees, hire new, or outsource/subcontract the work
  • Market the opportunity - identify a pool of possible candidates
  • Select the candidate - perform a vetting process ( interviews, references, etc )
  • On-board - bring the new (or newly trained) talent up to speed
  • Monitor + evaluate the increase in value that was achieved
