Navigating the Financial Roadblocks for Consultants
Presenter: Michael Chabalik

As a consultant you have a host of options available to you that a traditional employee does not have in the way of retirement plans, potential tax deductions and income challenges with no set paycheck! This talk will be dual focused, first speaking to the financial considerations and options a consultant has including which retirement plans to consider, being paid 1099 vs. W2 and how the recent tax reform affects that; and second some growth focused strategies to increase new clients.

Three Key Learnings the audience will take away from this program:

Key Learning #1: Various retirement plans available to self-employed consultants

Key Learning #2: Learn the key differences between a traditional employee vs. a self-employed consultant for tax purposes.

Key Learning #3: General strategies and tactics to grow new business for your consulting practice.
