Get R.E.A.L, Get Noticed, Get Results

Presenter: Robin Taney

You've probably heard the saying "A failure to plan is a plan to fail." Unfortunately, when it comes to promoting their business, that's often the case for many business owners.

They either:

  • View it as an afterthought (and are reactive instead of proactive).
  • Have an "if we build it, they will come" attitude.
  • Think they aren't "newsworthy" enough and don't do anything.

PR is a mindset, not an accessory. Trying to promote your business without a plan is like trying to build a house without a foundation. Not only do you need a plan, you need one that's realistic, engaging, authentic, and designed to build a long lasting relationship with your customers. In other words, it needs to be R.E.A.L. (and real)

In Get R.E.A.L, Get Noticed, Get Results, Robin Taney, the Get R.E.A.L Girl and founder of Studio 4 PR, will walk you through the process of:

  • Identifying your ideal client (to make sure you're working with the ones who appreciate you and inspire you to do your best work INSTEAD of sucking the life out of you).

  • 7 ways to use a press release that don't involve the media.

Key Learning #1: Your ideal client needs to feel like you are speaking only to them.

Key Learning #2: You need to get past the idea you aren't "newsworthy."

Key Learning #.3: There are four core principles every business owner needs to be successful
