Telling Your Story: How to Write and Plan Your Memoir

Have you considered writing about some of your past experiences, or even writing your memoir? What is a memoir, and how does one create it? It can be much easier than you think, and you don't even have to enjoy writing. This workshop will provide effective tools for writing a memoir as well as the opportunity to launch into your writing and gain some confidence. Come gain the know-how and the motivation for telling your story!

Bob Baker directs the First-Year Composition program in the English department at SUNY Brockport where he has worked since 2011. In addition to teaching college students, Bob has led memoir workshops for adults in various settings such as retirement communities, churches, and rehabilitation centers.
This meeting is open to the public.
