Organizational Success & Culture

(Attend IN PERSON or on ZOOM - See below)

Presenter: Graham Hollander

Presentation Overview:

TITLE: Organizational Success & Culture

The recent Chief Human Resource Officer’s (CHRO) prioritization of workplace culture has been a positive first step in improving employee performance and retention. However, each CHRO must understand that simply putting people back into close physical proximity does not, and will not, guarantee a culture that is healthy. An organization’s culture is both amorphous and fluid, which makes changing it difficult. No direct levers exist for an executive to pull and automatically improve a culture. To further complicate the matter for executives, culture manifests where the work is done by mid-level managers and below.

Changing a culture to one that is emotionally healthy and supportive is vital to the success of any organization. Changing a culture requires three steps:

1) An honest reality diagram to show where current issues reside.

2) Reinforcement of positive actions.

3) A leadership team that is committed to change.

Each one of these steps will be presented with examples, and an examination of the return on investment for each of them.

Key Learning #1: How to accurately assess your corporate culture and determine the impact you can achieve from employees on hybrid work schedules.

Key Learning #2: How to construct a current reality tree, and how to subsequently use it to properly identify where changes are required.

Key Learning #3: How to implement cultural changes that are action oriented, and quickly yield results.
