An Introduction to Bitcoin
Presenter:
Guy Paddock
Back in 2013, some people may have thought that Bitcoin was a technology fad. Now, major players – including
household brands like Overstock.com, Newegg.com, PayPal – have jumped on board. With legislators in countries
throughout the world racing to help nurture the currency, Bitcoin is poised to become just as part of our financial
system as credit and debit cards.
In this program, Guy Paddock will provide a high-level overview of what Bitcoin is, how it is being used today by
businesses worldwide, and how it might be used in the not too distant future.
Here is a short video in which Guy provides a brief description of his presentation.
Three key learnings the audience will take away from this program:
Bitcoin is no longer just a hobby for technologists – it is being taken seriously by major firms worldwide.
Bitcoin is faster and more efficient than other payment technologies currently available.
Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are here to stay for the foreseeable future.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
