The ATTAIN Lab provides NYS Residents 17+ years computer-based professional development skills, life skills, and academic enrichment at NO $$ COST!! We use Edmentum and Aztec courseware for Academic enrichment and job skills development. For Microsoft training from Digital Literacy, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Technology Associate Certifications, we primarily utilize training materials from Microsoft Imagine Academy and GMETRIX. For foreign language and/or ESL study, we provide use Rosetta Stone. For bookkeeping instruction, we provide Intuit QuickBooks courseware.

Alicia Ward is an ardent public servant, passionate educator, and cultural enthusiast. She has been serving as the Manager and Instructional Technology Coordinator for the State University of New York (SUNY) Advanced Technology Training and Information Technology (ATTAIN) Lab at Baden Street Settlement since 2003. Through ATTAIN, a computer-based job skills center, she is a Microsoft Certified Trainer implementing strategies to prepare underserved segments of the Rochester community for the 21st century workforce. Independently she has established a “dba” A. Ward Services under which she specializes in Leadership Coaching.

A global enthusiast, Ms. Ward holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in International Studies. She concentrated her studies in the area of International Development. She has engaged in academic study, teaching, and leisure travel to countries in the Caribbean, Africa, and Latin America. International travel, work, and study have given Alicia Ward the ability to apply cross-cultural understanding to human service and civic engagement. Serving on Board of the International Sister Cities of Rochester Alicia is the Chair of the Bamako, Mali Sister Cities Committee and also serves on the Board of the Association for Exchange Association for Teen-age Diplomats.

Ms. Ward is engaged heavily in the Rochester community. She is a community network hub. She is member and holds leadership roles in civic organizations including Toastmasters International, National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., and Monroe County Democratic Committee. She is also a member and serves as the Global Outreach Director at Bibleway Healing Assembly.
