Love + Work - A Deeper Dive

This month, we take a deep dive into the concepts presented in Marcus Buckingham’s latest book Love + Work. We gave an overview of this topic back at our August deep dive and we’ll now explore some of his concepts even more deeply.

The topics we’ll cover in particular detail are: how there is a monumental difference between getting a 4 (someone liking what you do or what they’re doing) and getting a 5 (someone LOVING what you’re doing or what they’re doing) and also how, in the tapestry of life, we each have “red threads” that really call out to us. We’ll go into more detail about how we see and find our red threads and also discuss how we can help those around us find their red threads. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the book nor attended in August; we’ll get you up to speed quickly. It should be a very lively discussion as this is all about how being passionate about what we’re doing really does significantly improve our performance and satisfaction.

Dave has been a Patent Agent registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office since 2004 and has helped people get patents in a wide number of fields. Dave also has a strong interest in helping others to become more effective in their interactions with their colleagues and as such has been a charter member of the RPCN Enhancing Human Capital team. He is also a current director and a past president and a past treasurer of RPCN.
