Technology for Consultants:
An Overview
Presenter:
Nick Francesco
Overview of the newest technologies and best practices for consultants, including hardware, software, security, and videoconferencing
.
Three key learnings the audience will take away from this program:
How to begin making a selection among the latest hardware.
Some of the best choices for creating and backing up documents.
The importance of keeping your computer virus-free and helping your clients do the same
.
Here is a short video in which Nick introduces his program.
Nick has been in the microcomputer industry since 1975. Nick also spent 20 years as a professional actor. Somewhere along the line, he picked up a Master's Degree in Information Technology, and has taught computer science courses extensively as an adjunct professor in various colleges and universities. He was the Manager of Technical Services at RIT's Saunders College of Business from 1997 until he retired in 2014.
Since 1989, Nick's hosted Sound Bytes, a weekly radio call-in computer show. From 1995 to 2010, he hosted Computer FAQs on YNN, Time Warner's all-news cable channel. Since 1996, he's done a weekly computer column in Gannett's Democrat & Chronicle newspaper. Since 1999, he's run Ask Nick!, where he answers computer questions via the Web. Nick's known for answering questions simply, concisely, and logically, in language that does not confuse or talk down to the questioner.
You can find Nick on Google+ (as Nick Francesco), Twitter (@NickFrancesco), and Facebook (
http://facebook.com/nick.francesco
). He is also the author of The Security Tango (
http://securitytango.com/
) which has helped millions of people rid their computers of viruses, spyware, trojans, and other malware.
