Bring your technology questions about computers, your internet service, mobile apps, telephones, or any other technology.  During the first half of the meeting, we'll help each other solve tech-related issues.

For the second half of the meeting, we'll switch over to what we call “Our Technology Adventures”.  It’s an opportunity for you to talk about new technology you’ve recently started using and the things you find helpful about that technology.

This is an informal, facilitated discussion, and all attendees are welcome to participate. 

Dave Bassett will be facilitating this forum.  Dave has been a Patent Agent registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office since 2004 and has helped people get patents in a wide number of fields.

This meeting is open to the public.

We’ll also discuss how to avoid burnout and build the right connections necessary to thrive as a one-person business.

- How can solopreneurs identify their own skill gaps, invest in targeted learning, and proactively plan for personal and professional growth in order to stay competitive ?

- How do solopreneurs create a sustainable work-life balance and build a professional network to combat the stress and isolation that are common in one-person businesses ? How do they go about setting boundaries and seeking outside help, such as mentors ?

Bob is a lifelong resident of Rochester, NY and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from St. John Fisher University and an MBA in Digital Marketing and Finance from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.

His professional journey is marked by diverse industry experience, including roles in quality control at General Motors, software engineering at Xerox, security software at Paychex, and big data at regional telecoms PAETEC and Windstream.

As an entrepreneur, Bob is the proud owner of several businesses, including:

• Sharp Dressed Brand: A full-service marketing firm, combining strategy, creativity, and execution.
• Where You Sleep: Real estate services as a licensed real estate salesperson and notary public.
• Faces That Work: Provider of business services through a network of skilled freelancers.

He is also deeply committed to community engagement and professional development. As a long-standing member of the Rochester Professional Consultants Network (RPCN), Bob attended the RPCN Consulting Business Boot Camp and has been a member of the organization ever since. He is on the board of directors, served a term as president, and contributes significantly as the Director of Digital Strategy.
